A Long Wait

Oh how I wish I could write through the night Dipping my quill in ink by candlelight With a cup of tea to accompany me Into the worlds of fantasy
But alas! The moon has risen, standing o'er my head And my tower of wax is melting away leaving me a feeling of dread
So I'll blow out the flame and rest my hand Until it is time for morning and I can write again.
